Today really is a memorable day! It's like my spiritual birthday.
Most of you might not know that I'm the only Christian in my family.
Today, my whole pre-believing family came down to watch me get baptised. It was really memorable... because they have always rejected my church invitations. Today is the first time my parents ever attended a service...
I never ever want to look back. God really transformed my life, even though there are still difficult times I had to overcome. Being a first generation Christian is not easy...
I had backslidden, disobeyed and sinned... but by His grace, I am picked up once again.

This is not the only decision I'm making today... I am going to stop blogging because I want to surrender this blog to God. You might think I'm crazy.
But no, I'm perfectly sane.
I don't want to blog anymore, not because it had brought me misery.
In fact, my blog was one of the dearest things to me.
In fact, I don't think I need it anymore.
Truth to be told, I was backslidden when I started my blog here.
I am not ashamed to admit this.
I thought I could get all the comfort and affirmation I needed from blogging and so I did.
Well, it made me feel good... a little.
I was experiencing something so difficult in my life and those compliments I receieved made me feel better... but they were fleeting.
As what has happened is very personal, I'm not going to share it publicly on my blog here to protect myself and the identities...
Even after my life was restored, I was reluctant to stop blogging...
There were times when friends advised me to close this blog altogether when it invited trouble but I had vehemently refused.
I pondered a long while before making this decision. Shawn, my cell leader, has always shared about how God's blessings cannot be fully penetrated if you refuse to obey...
I don't really know if this is God's calling to surrender my blog to Him, but my blog has always been something so dear to me and I love God... so I'm going to.
I still feel that this blog is hindering my spritual growth... in a way?
Because I am constantly being scruintinised anonymous readers, it's difficult for me to actually exprss my truest, deepest feelings... and my love for God here because I will always always receive droll comments.
I might as well quit blogging altogether, to proclaim my faith in Jesus Christ.
This blog has brought me happy memories and opportunities to meet wodnerful bloggers... but God is more important and greater than this online journal.
I don't want to be that "blogger" or "the girl behind candiedpalace" anymore. I want to be Samantha Delina Seah, God's princess. :)
Hence, I hereby declare that this is my last post ever here.

As for the puzzling incidents that transpired these few days... it has finally come to a rest.
The posts and comments that were posted a few days back were obviously not by me. If you think logically, no one will insult their ownselves on their own blog... would they?
I just hope no one got offended because that was the work of the hackers. I don't wish to elaborate more and I will not answer any questions, that is.
This entire issue made me ponder a lot. It made me realise that my life doesn't only revolve around a public journal. There are greater things than that. I realised that there are many restrictions because of my traffic. I've to watch what I type/say here... because a wrong statement can turn everything upside down. On top of that, I also cannot be too personal....
Journaling was supposed to be personal... wasn't it?
Those days without candiedpalace.blogspot.com, I created a new private blog for my friends only and I kind of like it. It's just more... me. :)

The first few days of this week have been HORRIBLE. Definitely not the best days of my life. Trouble just loves to knock on our doors, complicate our lives and make everyone miserable and frustrated.

I was granted a week's worth of MC. Precationary measures are kind of tight at clinics now, given the rise in H1N1 count... Masks are compulsory. My height and weight were taken too. O.O
I wanted to demand a re-take because I had supposedly "shrunk" a GOOD FIVE CENTIMETRES (5cm) according to the machine but I was too sick to argue so I came to my own conclusion that the machine just sucks.
The 'O' Level Chinese Listening Comprehension certainly didn't cheer me up. Firstly, I skipped my medication because I didn't want to end up sleeping during my paper but the nickpricks broadcast 30 minutes of classical/symphonic music RIGHT BEFORE the paper.
Like what the hell.
For your information, in case you didn't know, the LC was a live broadcast on national radio.
.. and of all genres, why music that puts us all to sleep?!?!
I was fighting so hard with my own body, forcing myself to keep awake and I wasn't feeling well you know... :(
I wasn't really absorbing half the crap they broadcast... was pitying myself instead....
